ABOUT US

Once upon a time, there was Playa Pikua, a place nestled between the Sierra Nevada mountains and the sea, blessed with the power of the tropical rainforest and lush beaches. There, bungalows rise up, inviting you to inhabit an enchanted time, where the symphony of the sea with its impetuous waves, the howler monkeys among the trees, and the sounds of exotic species, along with your stay, are the protagonists of a truly memorable experience.

BUNGALOWS

Our ecolodge invites you to disconnect in an intimate and authentic space. You'll stay in private bungalows, small elevated cabins built with wood and palm using local materials, designed according to bioclimatic principles that allow natural light and breezes to enhance your relaxation.

Each bungalow is your own sanctuary, a place where you truly belong. Sustainably constructed and integrated into the tropical forest, it's designed for experiencing the beach in tranquility, enjoying well-being and a deep respect for nature. A space where the essentials regain their meaning: the murmur of the ocean, the atmosphere of the wild Caribbean, and the unique energy of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

All our bungalows feature a minibar, private bathroom, powerful, large mosquito nets, a safe, and a terrace furnished with a hammock, side table, and chairs, offering an additional area to contemplate the outdoors, socialize, or work. They have both solar and electric lighting, with an accessible and functional system of outlets and lighting. Each bungalow has a name inspired by the marine world and possesses its own unique characteristics.

HOW TO GET TO PIKUA BEACH

Getting there is part of the journey.

From Santa Marta Airport: an official, verified taxi will take you directly to Playa Pikua. The trip takes approximately one hour and thirty minutes. You can also contact us for assistance in arranging a reliable taxi.

By private or rental car: use Google Maps or Waze and search for Playa Pikua. We are located at kilometer 39 on the road to La Guajira, 7 km past the entrance to Tayrona National Park.

By bus: take a bus from the Public Market or the Mamatoco gas station. They depart every 20 minutes from Santa Marta. Ask to be let off at the entrance to Playa Pikua, 500 meters from the Mendihuaca River. From there, it's a 2 km walk by motorbike or along a path through lush coconut palms and tropical forest to the entrance of Playa Pikua.
